Within the next few days Marian Boček will provide the portion necessary out of a total 150 million euros to keep the lights on at Lilium (OTCMKTS: LILMF) which needs around 10 million euros for salaries and rental costs each month. This is in addition to the tens of millions of euros owed to suppliers in short-term costs. Last Wednesday Marian Boček promised that the funds required will be available to Lilium. Severin Tatarczyk, who replaced Philipp Schoeller to manage Lilium Aerospace GmbH during this difficult transitory period has wisely decided not to pursue a second bankruptcy, which would have destroyed Lilium. Tatarczyk sees the lights on the distant runway, guiding the aircraft to a safe and sound financial landing. After employee salaries and other obligations are paid, this cash injection from Marian Boček will provide Lilium with the ability to continue with its plans for its first manned flight this year.
Good relations with Lilium’s suppliers, such as InoBat, and CustomCells were crucial for Lilium’s rescue and restructuring. These two companies provide batteries for Lilium aircraft. As we reported in a previously, many suppliers were interested in keeping Lilium afloat, and were willing to wait for payments for the vital materials and components Lilium needed to stay in business. Lilium itself was an investor in InoBat’s round C funding.
